About
- Name origin
- XLOV combines 'X', meaning the unknown, with 'LOV', an incomplete spelling of love, suggesting a new way of representing love.
- Formation
- Introduced in December 2024 and debuted on January 7, 2025 under 257 Entertainment with the single album I'mma Be. Wumuti, Rui and Haru had previously competed on Mnet's Boys Planet, and Wumuti had also debuted in the project group WATERFIRE. In 2026, RBW's WM Entertainment acquired 257 Entertainment and the two merged into StrangeLab in August 2026, which now manages the group.
- Why fans love them
- Fans love XLOV for its genderless concept and androgynous styling, which challenge how a boy group is expected to look and move, and for leader Wumuti's hands-on songwriting and production, which give the group a distinctive, self-shaped sound across hip-hop, R&B, Afrobeat and electronic styles.

Hit songs
The debut single album's title track (January 7, 2025), a hip-hop and R&B-based song with lyrics written by leader Wumuti, introducing the group's unfinished-love theme.
Why it hit: The debut that announced XLOV as K-pop's first genderless-concept group and built an instant international following.
The title track of the second single album I ONE (June 13, 2025), an Afrobeat/Afropop song built on rich pad synths, soft bass and rhythmic vocals about being the only one in the world.
Why it hit: The first comeback that confirmed the group's sound beyond debut hype and became a fan-favorite era.
One of two title tracks of the third EP i=! (October 28, 2026), combining heavy bass with East Asian motifs and bold sound design to portray two opposing gods: one guiding people to the right path and one magnifying nightmares.
Why it hit: The comeback title track whose grand, mysterious East Asian-inspired video and spinning choreography anchored the i=! era.
