About
- Name origin
- TXT is short for TOMORROW X TOGETHER. Big Hit's official introduction reads: "different people who came together under one dream in hopes of building a new tomorrow." The X evokes multiplication — individuals joining forces to amplify their dreams into tomorrow.
- Formation
- TXT is the five-member boy group formed by Big Hit Entertainment — producer Bang Si-hyuk's first new boy group since BTS. The members were revealed one by one in January 2019 via individual intro films (Yeonjun Jan 10, Soobin Jan 13, Hueningkai Jan 15, Taehyun Jan 17, Beomgyu Jan 20). The group debuted on March 4, 2019 with the EP The Dream Chapter: STAR and title track "Crown," which set a then-record 14.5 million views in 24 hours for a K-pop debut. Their first fan-club name "Young One" (announced April 2019) was scrapped after overlap with Tiffany Young's fandom; Big Hit officially announced the new fan-club name MOA on August 22, 2019. The agency rebranded to Big Hit Music in 2021 under HYBE. All five members renewed their contracts in August 2025, and the group opened its fifth world tour, STEAL THE WIND, in Seoul in November 2026.
- Why fans love them
- Nicknamed "Gen Z Icons" by Ticketmaster's own artist bio, TXT are loved for their cohesive youth storytelling across The Dream Chapter, minisode, Chaos Chapter, Name Chapter and Star Chapter series — songs like "CROWN," "0X1=LOVESONG," "Anti-Romantic" and "Sugar Rush Ride" map adolescence into a serialized universe. They are renowned for razor-sharp synchronized choreography and live vocals, self-involvement in writing/production, and a humor-filled variety presence. Milestones: first K-pop group to perform at Lollapalooza (2022) and first to headline it (2023); first K-pop act to play two consecutive sold-out Madison Square Garden shows (2024); 11 Billboard 200 entries with six in the top 5; MTV EMA Best Asia Act (2022) and VMA PUSH Performance of the Year (2023); AMA and People's Choice nominations. Their official fandom MOA (Moments of Alwaysness) was named by Big Hit in August 2019. In December 2026 they make their first iHeartRadio Jingle Ball run — New York MSG (Dec 11), Boston (Dec 13), Washington DC (Dec 14) — with Yeonjun also appearing as a solo artist.
