LE SSERAFIM

About

Name origin

LE SSERAFIM is an anagram of "I'M FEARLESS." The name expresses the group's self-confidence and determination to move forward without being swayed by the world's gaze — a message carried through their debut EP FEARLESS and much of their music since.

Formation

LE SSERAFIM was formed by Source Music under HYBE as the label's first girl group. The members were revealed one by one in April 2022 — Sakura and Kim Chaewon (both formerly of IZ*ONE), Hong Eunchae, Kazuha, Huh Yunjin, and Kim Garam — and the six-member group debuted on May 2, 2022 with the mini album FEARLESS. After Kim Garam's departure in July 2022, the group continued as five members, releasing the hit EPs ANTIFRAGILE (2022), UNFORGIVEN (2023), EASY and CRAZY (2024), and embarking on their first world tour FLAME RISES in 2023.

Why fans love them

Fans love LE SSERAFIM for their unapologetically bold concept and powerhouse live performances — the group built its identity around the "fearless" message of confronting anxiety head-on, which resonated far beyond typical idol pop. The lineup itself is a draw: Sakura and Chaewon brought a built-in global fandom from IZ*ONE, former professional ballerina Kazuha adds a distinctive graceful-yet-powerful dance style, singer-songwriter Yunjin writes and produces her own solo tracks, and maknae Eunchae charms as the host of the beloved interview series Eunchae's Star Diary. Their official fandom name is FEARNOT.
