About

Name origin: He performs as Jay Park (제이박) — the English-order rendering of his birth name Park Jae-beom (박재범), with 'Jae' (재) styled as 'Jay.'
Formation: Park debuted as the leader of 2PM on September 4, 2008 with '10 Out of 10' under JYP Entertainment, but left the group in September 2009 amid a MySpace controversy and had his contract terminated in February 2010. After a viral YouTube comeback ('Nothin' on You,' March 2010), he signed with SidusHQ in July 2010 and re-debuted as a solo artist — releasing the EP Count On Me (July 13, 2010), then his first Korean mini-album Take A Deeper Look on April 27, 2011 with the title track 'Abandoned.' He founded the hip-hop labels AOMG (September 2013) and H1GHR Music (May 2017, with Cha Cha Malone), stepped down as CEO of both in December 2021, and launched his new label MORE VISION on March 3, 2022. MORE VISION debuted its first K-pop boy band LNGSHOT on January 13, 2026 with the EP Shot Callers.
Why fans love them: Credited as one of the main figures behind the mainstream popularization of K-hip hop and Korean R&B, Jay Park is known as a 'born entertainer' (Patti Kim) whose singing, rapping, dancing and producing all rank at the top of the industry. In 2017 he became the first Asian artist signed to JAY-Z's Roc Nation. Beyond music he is an entrepreneur — founder of the Won Soju brand and CEO of MORE VISION. His official fandom is JWalkerz (제이워커즈), a name he tattooed on his back in 2010 and formally recruited as his official fan club starting September 2024. He is currently on the Serenades & Body Rolls World Tour with special guest LNGSHOT, with European stops in Amsterdam (Oct 6, AFAS Live), Warsaw (Oct 10, COS Torwar), Milan (Oct 17, Fabrique), Paris (Oct 20, ZENITH), Luxembourg (Oct 22, Rockhal) and London (Oct 26, OVO Arena Wembley).
