About
- Name origin
- The name comes from the cosmos flower, said to be the first flower created in the universe and symbolizing a girl's purity, with 'Y' standing for youth and pure love.
- Formation
- An all-Japanese, Seoul-based girl group produced by NTT docomo Studio&Live with Sony Music Entertainment Korea. They were introduced with the pre-debut single zigy=zigy on December 31, 2024 and officially debuted with Lucky=One on April 11, 2025. Kamión and De_Hana had previously competed on PRODUCE 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS, and the members bring backgrounds in dance and musical theatre.
- Why fans love them
- Fans love cosmosy for their signature trilingual delivery in Korean, English and Japanese, a sound fusing late-1990s and early-2000s J-R&B, J-hip-hop, house and futuristic pop, and a fantasy-tinged worldview carried through cinematic videos and festival stages from Anime Expo to KCON LA.

Hit songs
The pre-debut single released December 31, 2024, a K-pop-style dance track sung in Korean, English and Japanese about teenage girls' inner conflicts and struggles with identity.
Why it hit: Its video passed 10 million views within two weeks, launching the group globally before their official debut.
The official debut single (April 11, 2025), performed entirely in English over tropical house elements and gentle pop melodies.
Why it hit: The English-language debut that confirmed cosmosy's global ambitions and their work with BLACKPINK creative director SINXITY's team.
The single released October 30, 2026, a dark trap and hard club track in Korean, English and Japanese that reframes love as desire and obsession, built around the keyword kyōai (a love so intense it borders on madness).
Why it hit: Its release was unlocked by fans: the 'open your eye=sy' participation project reached its target, and the song marked a darker, bolder turn after KCON LA 2026 and 82WORLD: LA.
